Originally from Houston, 26 year-old Franklin has enjoyed being the engine builder, transmission builder and machinist for AWDTuning (one of the top Subaru builders in the country) in Flowermound Texas for the past 2.5 years. He is also a Darton Sleeves certified installer. Frankie works with numerous companies on improving and developing their product line in all forms – from suspension to engine performance. He enjoys networking with companies to R&D and represent them in the best light possible!
Describing his race car, he says,
“Though it is a 2005 USDM Subaru STi it is a little different than most. I’m running a Borg Warner SXE 400 72mm with a fully built engine by yours truly. The car currently sits at 1000awhp on our Mustang 1100SE AWD Dyno at 50 PSI … There are some exciting changes being worked on currently also. New turbo from BW as a start.”
More about Franklin: In late 2010 he was diagnosed with cancer, and Frankie is currently working on setting up volunteer work for the children’s cancer center in Dallas, Texas. He also enjoys playing the drums, and has for his church since age 13.
