Conversion Kit for Porsche 992 Factory Lithium Battery to Antigravity Lithium Battery, or AGM Battery
Automotive Battery Accessory
If you own a 992 Porsche that came equipped with the Factory Porsche Lithium Battery, then you are in luck! Antigravity Batteries has developed an easy-to-install conversion kit which allows you to replace your proprietary Porsche Lithium Battery with our Antigravity Lithium Battery or an AGM Battery of your choice.
Why is this important? Well, the problem is Porsche engineered their Lithium Battery equipped 992s (from 2018 to 2024) to only recognize their specific OEM Porsche Lithium Battery, which means if this battery fails you only have one option, and that is to use their proprietary battery. Additionally, this Porsche Lithium Battery has a reputation for early failure, is very expensive, and is often not in stock at Porsche Dealerships, making a simple Battery change a big problem. But now, with this simple to install Antigravity Batteries Conversion Kit you are free to use whatever battery you want in the future.
KEY BENEFITS
You are no longer tied to the high-cost proprietary Porsche Lithium Battery
Now you can easily use an Antigravity Lithium Battery which has more features and benefits than the Porsche Lithium Battery and does not have the same failure problems, or you can go with a low-cost Lead/Acid/AGM Battery if that suits you. Once you install the kit, you can choose what you want!
Money Savings, Higher Reliability
The Porsche Lithium Battery is very expensive, and it is known to have issues with early failure if allowed to over-discharge. By installing our Antigravity Batteries 992 Conversion Kit you can use batteries that are significantly lower cost and more reliable.
Easy Future Replacements
By using our Porsche 992 Battery Conversion Kit, you are future-proofing yourself from being tied to buying the expensive Porsche Lithium Battery. You can easily find a replacement battery and not be tied to a Dealer Installation cost, or out of stock issues.
Easy Installation
If you are familiar with working on your car, you can install our conversion kits. Our parts and wires are all labeled with Tags for where they go and our instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The kit is quite simple to install, so if you feel you can replace a Ground Cable, install a wire to an existing Linbus Connector and install a new battery then you can do this installation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this harm my Porsche 992?
This kit does not harm your Car; it is basically putting your Car into the same state as the AGM equipped 992. There are no major modifications to the Car, and it changes the settings to the standard settings of the AGM equipped Porsche 992.
What Batteries should I use as a replacement for the Porsche Lithium Battery?
The Porsche 992 Lithium Battery was 60 Amp Hours; we suggest that you replace that with a 60 Amp Hour Antigravity Battery in either the H6 or H7 size (both these batteries are the same on the interior, only the case size is different), or you may use a quality brand AGM Battery in the H7 size (aka Group 94R). It is best to use AGM Batteries that are over 80 Amp Hours.
Is this Conversion reversible?
Yes, you would simply put back in the original parts, but please note: You would have to take the Car to an Independent Porsche Garage, or Porsche Dealer who has Porsche’s “PIWIS” computer which can put the battery settings back to their original settings for the Porsche Lithium Battery.
How EASY does “easy-to-install” really mean?
It’s quite easy if you have some basic mechanical skills; the process only entails replacing the Negative ground Cable, installing new wire into your existing Porsche Linbus Connector, then updating the system with a pre-programmed ODB2 Module we supply, and then of course removing and installing the new Battery. For ease of installation we have pre-labeled all the parts with Tags, and provide clear written instructions as well as an Instructional Video to assist.
