This kit cannot and will not harm your McLaren; it is basically emulating how the original McLaren Battery data is sent to the Car’s system. There are no major modifications involved, it is a quick easy bolt-on/plug-in product.

• Firstly, if you are using an AGM replacement Battery in your McLaren, and if that AGM Battery is allowed to go dead, the window will not lower slightly as it did with your FACTORY McLaren Battery. This can create a problem with opening the door on the McLaren you have when the battery is dead. So you MUST be aware of this and MAKE CERTAIN to keep the Battery maintained and charged. To resolve this you should wire a pigtail outside of the Car so you can be able to plug-in a charger or provide power to your Car if you let the Battery over-discharge.

The McLaren Lithium Battery is a 60 Amp Hour Lithium Battery. You should replace this with the H7 size 60 Amp Hour Antigravity RE-START Battery. If you choose to use an AGM Battery go with a quality brand in the H7 size (aka Group 94R) that is rated above 80 Amp Hours.

Yes, you would simply remove kit and install the original Battery and plug it in. The emulator does not change settings or modify the Car at all.

The kit will only take about 5 minutes to install and it is simply connecting two wires, and plugging one in. The more difficult part would be accessing the McLaren Battery itself, which you will determine if you would like to take on. We have pre-labeled the 3 Wires with Tags so you know where each connects, making it quite simple to understand and install.
